"When the Good Lord begins to doubt the world, he remembers that he created Provence”
(Frederic Mistral)
Hello fellow artists! Welcome to Provence!
And welcome to the second episode of Scents and Colors of Provence:
Note that all flowers and landscapes are different from Episode 1.
This workshop is focused on another beautiful region of France: Provence, with its unique flowers, picturesque villages in the hills, stunning fountains, olive groves, fruit trees and lavender fields just to mention a few things.
The colors and light of Provence have been seducing writers and artists like Chagall, Picasso, Matisse, Cezanne and Vincent Van Gogh.
Van Gogh, for example, lived in Arles for more than a year and painted more than 300 works, including Starry Night over the Rhone.
Provence has influenced my work too, I have been to this beautiful part of France many times and my perception of light and color changes a little bit every time I visit it!
I would love to share my Provence experience with you so let’s travel to Southern France and paint one more time with me?
Of course, I will paint lavender, the soul of Provence, in both episodes, two different approaches!
