“Mere color can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways”
(Oscar Wilde)
Do you have problems mixing colors?
Have you ever used a limited palette of colors?
Do you want to develop a more personal use of color?
Do you know how to match your color palette to your mood?
Do you know how to stop overworking your painting with too much pigment or brush strokes?
This new online workshop is also focused on Color Theory: the previous workshops about color were focused on color properties, color mixings and the best alternatives for green combinations.
Now I want to work with limited palettes: I will paint three different flower bouquets with three different limited palettes. Can you believe that we can paint a bouquet of mixed flowers with only two colors? One of my demos displayed here (Mixed Bouquet with Hydrangeas, Daises and Wild Flowers) was painted with only….two colors!
I believe that a successful painting can be painted with fewer colors. We just need to find the best color combinations as any color is influenced by the color next to it.
I will also talk about composition and how to avoid overworking with too much pigment or wrong brush strokes: I will demonstrate how to add calligraphic brush strokes to enhance your composition: dots, lines, brush marks, splattering, buds and abstract tiny shapes.
This workshop is also a two days format with the mentoring session!
The first one (3:30) is going to be a teaching session with all demos, explanations, etc as usual and the second one (1:15) will be a review/critique session.
After the first session (Sept 9) you will have 4 days to paint something. You can send one painting to me until Sept 13 (morning). On Sept 13, we will have another meeting and I will show you what can be improved in all participant's paintings.
You don’t have to take part in the second session. You don’t have to paint anything. If you want you can just join it and watch my critique. It’s up to you.
So come and join my new journey through the world of colors!
