"Gardening is how I relax. It’s another form of creating and playing with colors.” Oscar de la Renta
Although flowers are the foundation of my technique, I developed a love for the beauty of the many doorways, windows, and gates that I’ve seen in my life: I believe that inspiration starts at the garden entrance!
The gate prepares you for the garden within, opening the door to a world of colors, fragrances, and shapes: both gate and garden are important parts of my own Enchanted Garden.
This workshop is focused on garden gates, flowers, green mixing, and the best way to connect the gate and what’s behind the gate. I want to show you how to suggest what lies beyond a gate.
I will paint two different gates: iron and wood, with two different flowers, colors, and moods.
I will also include a doorway or window with hollyhocks, one of my favorite garden flowers, and an explanation about green mixing with the best mixings for foreground and background greens: tips about green mixings are important. We need to mix the right colors to suggest what is beyond the gate.
This workshop is also a two days format with the mentoring session!
The first one (3 hours and 30 minutes) is going to be a teaching session with all demos, explanations, etc as usual and the second one (1 hour and 30 minutes) will be a review/critique session.
After the first session (October 26) you will have 4 days to paint something. You can send one painting to me until October 29 (by morning). On October 29 we will have another meeting and I will show you what can be improved in all participant's paintings.
You don’t have to take part in the second session. You don’t have to paint anything. If you want you can just join it and watch my critique. It’s up to you.
