“Italy is a dream that keeps returning for the rest of your life” A. Akhmatova
The "Cinque Terre", in Liguria, are five colorful fishing villages on the Italian Riviera, set amid some of the most dramatic coastal scenery with a few roads, preserved architecture, and stunning and sparkling sea views.
I have been to Cinque Terre many times: I taught several in-person workshops in Tuscany and Liguria so I can say, without a doubt that the area is a source of inspiration for any artist: we can find colorful primulas and geraniums, façades with bougainvilleas, Sicilian lemons and tomatoes everywhere, vineyards and olive trees, amazing urban landscapes, breathtaking sea views with boats and buildings and much more.
I want to share my passion for Cinque Terre with you: I will paint an urban landscape with stairs and flowers, a façade with bougainvilleas, a typical flower with some architectural elements, and a sprig of Sicilian lemon. Three demos will be painted in the first session and one demo in the second meeting.
For the first time I will share the main demo drawing (the main demo only, with stairs and perspective) with all participants: a few days before the workshop you will receive the urban landscape reference (photo) and my drawing. I want to share with all participants how I edit the reference.
This workshop is a two days format: the second day will be a mentoring session. You can send one painting to my email from June 14 to 17 (by morning). I will clear your questions and provide some feedback about your paintings on June 17 (the second session). One more demo is scheduled for the second session!
So…let’s visit Cinque Terre together?! Join my new workshop and let’s live “la dolce vita”!
