Breathe Paris in. It nourishes the soul.
(Victor Hugo)
Bienvenue à Paris, France!
The focus of this workshop is my favorite city, Paris, an open-air museum, one of the most beautiful cities in the world! I love so many things there, it’s hard to describe it in just a few words: there is a stunning architectural and cultural heritage, incredible museums, parks, street markets, French cafés, the beautiful Seine river that flows right through the heart of Paris bordering 10 of the 20 arrondissements (districts) and remarkable bridges that connects the Left Bank to the Right Bank, just to mention a few things.
During this workshop, I will paint one typical Parisian Window with flowers, one flower found at Marché aux Fleurs (near Notre Dame and Saint-Chapelle), and two bridges with Paris as background (the Tour Eiffel is included in one of my bridges demos).
What can be more inspiring than Paris, Flowers, and the Seine River in the same workshop?! This workshop is also a two days format with the mentoring session!
I also want to introduce a new workshop format: two sessions. The first one (3:30) is going to be a teaching session with all demos, explanations, etc as usual and the second one (1:15) will be a review/critique session.
I have been teaching all over the world for the last 20 years. I strongly believe that my mentorship experience can help you to realize your potential as an artist so my second session (critique session) will be developed to maximize your learning experience. I will demonstrate what could be improved in your paintings. It’s a live session based on clearing questions.
After the first session (Aug 12) you will have 3 days to paint something. You can send one painting to me until Aug 16 (morning). On Aug 16 we will have another meeting and I will show you what can be improved in all participant's paintings. It’s not only an individual critique, I will show you, best alternatives for your paintings (background, color mixing, composition, etc) using my watercolor paper/brushes and paints and you can also ask me questions about the whole painting process. I want to maximize my feedback, I want that you experience a live mentoring session.
You don’t have to take part in the second session. You don’t have to paint anything. If you want you can just take part and watch my critique. It’s up to you.
